Beautiful Danish Vintage Silver Bangle 1960s
It’s no secret that I sell mostly gold, but personally I’m ALSO very fond of sterling silver. I love the color, the softness - and the budget friendly aspect of course!! Especially silver bracelets and bangles have my heart. Stacked with gold pieces, they look amazing
Last one of todays silver pieces is this beautiful and super cool Danish heavy (20 grams) twisted bangle in solid silver through and through. The design taps into a rich Danish tradition in twisted and braided pieces that the Danish Vikings started around year 800 AD. The vikings used this technique and a lot of their amazing jewelry designs.
The bangle is a size 7.75 in inside circumference and 63 mm in diameter (round). She’s 4 mm wide and thick and is made out of two twisted silver threads viking style.
The bangle has marks for silver and maker. She was handmade in the 1960s by the Danish goldsmith Holger Fridericias (active from 1937-1973).
She’s in excellent condition with normal age related wear to surface.
