This fancy link necklace (“fancy link” is when the goldsmith has made up his own link type) is just absolutely gorgeous! Each link catches the sun light and plays with it like there’s no tomorrow!
The piece was handmade by the Danish goldsmith E. Sørensen (his workshop was called “Guldvirke”). He was active from 1958-1987, and he made this one in the 1960s. He did an amazing job - the craftsmanship is impeccable, and the design with the graduated links is so well thought out.
The necklace is 16.9 inches long, 5-11 mm wide, and made in 14K gold. She weighs a great 20 grams. She has a well working, beautiful integrated box clasp with security.
She is marked for gold carat and maker, and the condition is excellent with minor age-related wear. All colored parts are just reflections from the surroundings.
