The Little Mermaid Sizeable Anchor Bracelet 14K Rose Toned Gold 1960s
This sizeable 1960s radiant lady is one sweet and feminine, yet substantial anchor bracelet!
This one is absolutely radiant with her AMAZING warm rosy glow. I wouldn’t call her rose gold but she definitely has a pastel pink tone to her. You can see the contrast between the more yellow charm.
The bracelet is made in solid 14K gold (marked for carat). The links are solid through and through.
Anchor links are a personal favorite of mine. Most of the time the links are faceted but this one has rounded links giving it a more soft appearance. They all have little rounded cups inside to make them fit beautifully into each other.
Each link is 6.5 mm wide. The bracelet weighs 22.5 grams without the charm. The charm is solid and weighs 3 grams and has marks for 14K, Copenhagen and maker. She’s 15x10mm and can be removed if you don’t like her.
The charm is the mineature version of the Danish national landmark, “The Little Mermaid” statue that can be found in the water near Copenhagen harbor Langelinje. Unveiled on 23 August 1913, The Little Mermaid was a gift from Danish brewer Carl Jacobsen to the City of Copenhagen. The sculpture is made of bronze and granite and was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale about a mermaid who gives up everything to be united with a young, handsome prince on land. Every morning and evening she swims to the surface from the bottom of the sea and, perched on her rock in the water, she stares longingly towards the shore hoping to catch a glimpse of her beloved prince.
The bracelet is 8 inches long and has an inside measurement of 7.5 inches which is really the number you have to pay attention to. The bracelet can easily be shortened (let me know if I should have that done for you for a small fee).
To find your bracelet size, take a thread and place it around your wrist and measure it afterwards.
The bracelet is an estate piece dating to the 1960s, and she’s in good condition with normal age- related wear. She has a beautiful, well-functioning security box clasp.
