10.4 inches Antique Watch Chain 18K Gold 1938
Meet your new best watch chain friend from 1938! He measures 10.4 inches and his cute little curb links are 3.5 mm wide. He has a gorgeous loop/bolt clasp that is 17mm in diameter and a cute dog clip on 22mm. Both well-working.
He’s done in the most beautiful buttery, warm 18K solid gold. These watch chains are almost impossible to find in higher carat gold like this since many of them were made in 9K.
I just think the color of the 18K ones are so so exquisite. Like butter on freshly baked bread.
The chain weighs 10.7 grams and has full l Swedish hallmarks for 1938.
You can use it as an ankle chain, as a chain extender, together with another watch chain, as a bracelet - or as a well, watch chain! Endless possibilities.
Some of the links are a teeny tiny wee tad bit uneven. I would not even call these kinks. It’s something I didn’t even see when handling, only when I saw the pictures I noticed that some were not dead straight. We have to remember that these chains have been actual daily tool. Someone has maybe had this one attached to their waistband for 40-50 years. I always curate the best and most sturdy examples and this one is definitely one of the best I have had. The curb links are just a great width and the overall condition is excellent.
