Sublime Danish Vintage Georg Jensen Necklace Silver 1960

$795.00
Sold

I’m so proud to offer you this rare, vintage Georg Jensen necklace 🫶🏻

This necklace is probably my best silver find to date!

Georg Jensen was born in 1866 and grew up close to forest and lakes just north of Copenhagen. Nature was his core source of inspiration. Symbols of the natural world weave a common thread throughout his designs: fruits, blossoms, leaves and organic shapes.

Georg Jensen founded his company in Copenhagen in 1904 and quickly became one of the most acknowledged goldsmiths in the whole of Europe.

This particular necklace is definitely an important design piece with her impeccable organic shaped links formed meticulously in solid through and through sterling silver. Each link is do soft to touch and will follow the curve of your neck beautifully.

The necklace is 10 mm wide and 15.20/38.5 cm long and a whopping 42 grams!

The amazing hidden hook clasp is pretty hard to see, it’s that well made and it’s in perfect working condition. It has the sought after Georg Jensen stamp and also marks for 18K.

The color of the silver is radiant. There’s slight patina to the backside which can be removed but I chose to keep it for now.

The condition is immaculate with only the patina signs on the back.
