Beautiful Lavendar Amethyst 23K Gold 1900
Here she is!! And she is so so beautiful. Like poetry on a band!
She’s a lavender colored amethyst. These light ones are pretty rare these days. And if you think the color is gorg in photos you should see her in real life!
The band is 23K, and the setting is 18K or higher. The band alone is 120 years old (from 1900), and the setting is a later addition, probably added in the 1940s by an heir who wanted to update the ring and honor the beloved one with a special stone.
The ring has full Swedish hallmarks for year, maker and carat. And also engravings. I cant read the letters but it says 5/5 1900.
The amethyst measures 15x11mm. And the band is 3.5mm. The weight is 7.3 grams, so she’s a very substantial one.
The amethyst is in excellent condition with very very minor wear. No wear to facets. The band has normal age related wear and is slightly oval. The band is more yellow than the setting. This is not noticeable when wearing and I think “imperfections” like this adds to the rings undeniable charm.
