Rare Vintage Puzzle Ring Size 9.25 US 18K Rose Gold
A VERY beautiful, VERY hard to photograph vintage puzzle ring in 18K rose gold (solid through and through) which is super rare to find!!
The ring is made in the most luminous, gorg pastel soft hued 18K rise gold, and weighs 5 grams!!! 2-10 mm wide, fits like a size 9.25 US. She has no marks but has been professionally tested for 18K solid gold.
The ring is done in puzzle style meaning that the ring consists of four individual rings that need to be puzzled back together if you “break” them up.
There’s a long historic tradition for puzzle rings as they go as far back as to the Egyptians. It’s said that 17th century husbands bought their wives puzzle rings to make sure that if the wife took of the ring to cheat, she would not be able to put it back together, and he would instantly know. Smart thinking, huh!
I’m envious on who ever gets this one.
The condition is excellent with normal signs of age like a little uneveness to the backside of the bands (see pic). No discoloration - all colored areas are just reflections from the surroundings!!
