Oldmine is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what we do with your personal data, and forms part of our Terms of Sale.

Who is responsible

Oldmine sells antique and vintage jewelry, shipped worldwide from Denmark, and is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at hi@oldmineshop.com, or as @oldmine_jewelry on Instagram.

What we collect

Only what is needed to fulfil your order: your name, shipping address, and contact details. When you pay, your payment details go directly to our payment provider - we never see or store your full card number.

Our shop runs on Shopify, which records the technical information any website needs in order to work and stay secure, such as your IP address and basic information about your device and browser.

What we use it for

Processing and dispatching your order, and contacting you about it. We also keep what we are legally required to keep for bookkeeping, and we use it to answer your questions if you write to us.

If you choose to sign up for our newsletter, we use your email address to send it. You can unsubscribe at any time from the link in any newsletter, or by writing to us.

Who we share it with

Our shipping carrier and payment provider, only so far as they need it to deliver your parcel and take your payment. We also use Shopify to run the shop and an email provider to send order and newsletter emails on our behalf; they process the data for us and on our instructions only.

Your data is never sold, and never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Because your parcel is shipped internationally, the address on it is passed to customs authorities and the carrier in the destination country. That is unavoidable for cross-border delivery.

Cookies

The shop uses the cookies it needs in order to work - to keep your cart, to keep your session, and to keep checkout secure. You can block cookies in your browser, but parts of the shop will then stop working.

How long we keep it

As long as we need it for the order, and for the bookkeeping we are legally required to retain. Newsletter subscribers are kept until they unsubscribe.

Your rights

You may ask us what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where we are not required to keep it. You may also ask for a copy of your data, or object to how we use it. Write to hi@oldmineshop.com and we will answer.

If you are in the EU or the UK and you are not happy with our answer, you may complain to your data protection authority. In Denmark that is Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.dk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The version published here at the time you place your order is the version that applies to that order.
