119 Year Old Wedding Band 18K Gold Sweden 1907

I'm so excited about this one - a wave engraved wedding band in 18K solid gold, made in Sweden in 1907 and just as crisp and pretty as the day she was made.

The waves roll around the entire band, and the engraving is still so sharp and deep that I keep turning her in the light just to watch it catch. The gold has that warm, buttery glow that only old Swedish 18K gets.

She carries a full suite of Swedish hallmarks on the inside - the three crowns, the 18K stamp, the maker's mark of Axel Larsson in Helsingborg and the date letter for 1907. If you want to geek out over those little stamps with me, I've written about them here: How to Read Gold Hallmarks.

I always wonder about the hands she has held through the years. She was made for a wedding almost 120 years ago, and somehow she has come through all of it without losing a single wave.

She weighs around 4.5 grams and fits like a size 7 US. Excellent condition with only the most minor signs of age.
